Commonwealth Games: India’s Sharath Kamal wins gold at table tennis
Sports Desk: India’s Sharath Kamal Achanta have grabbed the gold medal at the men’s singles table tennis on the final day of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Sharath Kamal defeated England’s Liam Pitchford by winning three sets to one.
40-years-old Achanta have achieved the single’s gold glory after 16 years at the Commonwealth Games.
In addition to him, his double’s teammate Sathiyan Gnanasekaran have won the bronze medal in the same category.
So far India have won 55 medals in Birmingham 2022 among within which 18 are gold.
