Are robots taking over humans? A robot runner wins marathon race, sets new record
Sci-Tech Desk: A robot runner has conquered a marathon race in China. It defeated all the human runners and even broke the recorded of the fastest human runner till now.
In a half marathon race held in Beijing, a running robot developed by a Chinese smartphone maker Honor completed the 21-kilmometer race within a remarkable 50 minutes and 21 seconds.
The robot did not just have a podium finish, but even broke the world record by more than six minutes, which had been held by a Ugandan athlete Jacob Kiplimo. During the race it ran reports CNN.
The bright red colored and 169-centimeter-tall robot stunned the audience with its effortless with no sign of tiredness like its fellow human runners, some of them who are professional runners running for years.
In this era of artificial intelligence is growing at a breakneck speed this incident is evident of the fact that robotics and human made machines are overtaking human capability across every domain.
