Sports Desk: The coach of the Chealsea Football Club Thomas Tuchel has been sacked by the new owners of the club on Wednesday (7th Sep. 22).
The decision to sack his was taken by the management of the club in view of the teams in consistent performance in the new Premier League season so far and the defeat in the opening match of the UEFA Champions League to Dinamo Zagreb.
In an official statement the club stated that it has parted ways with Tuchel with immediate effect.
Further, it also thanked Tuchel and his support staff for their work during their association with the club where they won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup under his leadership.
The club also said as the new owners have reached 100 days since taking over the club and they have been working hard to for its progress, they believe it is the right time to make the transition and look for a new coaching team.
So far there is no statement from Thomas Tuchel himself regarding the decision. He joined the club in 2021 when it was performing poorly under Frank Lampard. Since than he managed the team in 100 matches.
