As per a report by The Statesman there could soon be a shortage of commercial LPGs as the crisis has already impacted the LPG supply chain and led to a shortage of cooking cylinders in number of states in India.

Among others, the Karnataka is one of the affected states. Due to these multiple hotels, restaurants, including street food stalls could possibly stop serving their customers for a while. In fact, the report says that according to Hotel and Restaurant Association this low supply of commercial LPGs could result in the shutting down of around 50 per cent of restaurants and hotels in many cities in the country. Due to this, oil companies in states like Rajasthan have already instructed distributers to pause new bookings of commercial LPGs.
