Who will be the next Dalai Lama?

Global Desk: recently Dalai lama celebrated his 90th birthday. During a public gathering he said that there will be a search for his successor after his death and the centuries-old Tibetan Buddhist institution would also continue to exist even after he leaves.

The Tibetan Buddhist spiritual leader and the Nobel Peace Prize winner stated through a recorded video from Dharamshala, India. He said that that his successor should be searched in accordance with the Buddhist traditions.

Having reminded in exile in India after leaving Tibet in 1959 in response to the Chinese suppression of Tibetan uprising, he also said that his successor could be someone who is not born in China.

With this he has ended a long-standing speculation when he one hinted that he might be the last individual in the role.

Meanwhile, global media reports indicate the Chinese government stating that his successor had to be approved by the central government.
