Alien planet discovered by the James Webb Space Telescope

Sci-Tech Desk: NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has discovered a new exoplanet in the space. For the first time it has discovered an exoplanet since its launch in 2021.

According to a report by space.com the exoplanet is located around 110 light years away form the earth. It has been observed to be present in the constellation Antlia which comprises of 38 stars, situated in the Southern Celestial Hemisphere.

This alien planet that has been named as TWA 7b, possibly has an estimated mass around 100 times that of Earth or 0.3 times the mass of Jupiter. It is also said to be ten times lighter than any other exoplanet previously found.

 An exoplanet is a planet orbiting the star other than the Sun, outside the solar system.
