India’s hockey medal will inspire generations

Sports Desk: The Indian men’s hockey team has achieved another feat at the Paris Olympics after winning the bronze medal for the second consecutive time.

India defeated Spain 2-1 in the match after missing the gold medal match by a whisker against Germany in the semis.

This is the first time since 1972 India have won consecutive medals in the Olympic games.

It was also the last match of the legendary Indian goalkeeper PR Sreejesh, who was given a memorable goodbye by his fellow players and the fans at the end of the match.

Indian captain and drack flicker Harmanpreet Singh also played a monumental role in India’s remarkable achievement in in this Olympics and became the leading goal scorer for his team.

The Indian team was inundated with congratulatory messages from fans around the word for this magnificent accomplishment, with the social media getting flooded with posts of celebration.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also offered his good wishes to the team following the match through a video call. he also wrote on social media that this feat would be chearished for generations to come.
