Teenager declines USD 5000 from Tesla CEO Elon Musk, read to know why

International Desk: Business magnet and CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk has offered a sum of USD 5000 to a 19-year-old man to shut down his Twitter profile that tracks the tycoon’s private jet.

According to reports the name of the man is Jack Sweeney. He hails from Florida in the United States.

He has been running a Twitter profile named @ElonJet by using a bot developed by himself. The account regularly posts updates on Musk’s private jet in relation to where and when the millionaire’s lands or takes off, including the duration of each flight.

Reports also say that, apart from Musk the man has also developed a number of other social media accounts that tracks private jets of other prominent personalities like Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates.

In view of his security and privacy, Musk has asked for the removal of the account as it can pose a security risk.  He also offered USD 5000 to the youngster to delete the same.

Interestingly, Sweeney, declined the offer and asked Musk to pay him USD 50,000 instead which he could use for college education or may to buy a Tesla Model 3 car.

Further, he also said that other options like an internship offer in Tesla could also be helpful in taking the account down.

Latest reports say that Musk has not accepted his demand and instead he has blocked the teenager on Twitter.
