What did Pope Francis do in his final moments before breathing his last?

Global Desk: Pope Francis took his last breath on Monday 21 April, 2025. According to Vatican News Pope Fransis died on the Easter Monday at his residence in Vatican’s Casa Santa Marta. He was 88 years old.

Just before his final day the Pope had addressed the Easter congregation at the Vatican. In his speech he his followers not to settle for the fleeting things of the world or give into sadness.

He stated that we had to run filled with joy to meet the lord.

Born in Argentina, Pope Francis became the first non-European Pope in the history of catholic church in over 1200 years.

Apart from his address to the Easter crowd, the US Vice President JD Vance had a lifetime honour of meeting the Pope in person on the Easter Sunday.

Before his death the Pope had been ill for a very long time with reportadly with bilateral pneumonia. Mourning have echoed worldwide after the tragic news of his passing away.
