AI news anchor ‘Lisa’ launched by Indian news channel

Business Desk: India has got its regional language AI news anchor ‘Lisa’. Odisha TV, which is a regional language television news broadcasting company from Odissa state was unveiled recently.

During her unveiling, Lisa introduced herself to the audience with much anticipation. She also stated that the audiences would soon be seeing her hosting news programmes.

As per the news channel, she has multilingual skills and can communicate in multiple languages including Odia and English.

The channel urged the audiences to follow her on social media and also stated that further efforts are being put to improve her interactional capabilities.

The channel has also stated that Lisa is already making a global wave in the social media.

Lisa would be the second robotic and AI journalist after India Today television group has launched a similar AI anchor ‘Sana’ who is already being seen giving news updates in Hindi on its Aaj Tak news channel.

Both these AI news anchors are watershed moments in India’s media industry and the country’s influential capabilities to be a global leader in in AI based technologies.
