Rebirth of Manchester United, as they defeat cash rich Newcastle in EFL final
Sports Desk: Manchester United have won the English Football League cup by defeating Newcastle United at the Wembly Stadium in London on Sunday.
United outclassed the Eddie Howe led Newcastle United by 2-0 in the final match.
Their first goal of the final came from Casemiro in the 33rd minute. Six minutes later, as Newcastle was trying to make a comeback, a disaster struck through an own goal from Sven Botman giving United a lead by two goals at the end of first half.
The second half was competitive enough, however, none could score any goal.
With this victory, the struggling Manchester United have ended their title drought after they won a major trophy in the from of Europa Cup in 2017.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia sponsored Newcastle United, which is one of the cash rich clubs in the world failed to impress the football community and win their first title after 1969, even after having over 61 per cent possession in the final game.
