Sci-Tech Desk: In an exceptional space adventure, the all-women celebrity went on a suborbital space flight and reached the altitude of around 346,802 feet above the Earth on April 14, 2025.
This extraordinary exploration, known as the NS-31 was organized by by the private space company, which is owned by Amazon’s Blue Origin. It also collaborated with luxury fashion brand Monse, that designed the flight suits for the mission.
The crew included several noted celebrities like singer Katy Perry, journalist Gayle King, film producer Karianne Flynn, among others.
The objective of this rare occasion, that lasted for around 10 minutes, was to inspire the future space enthusiasts, especially women in space.
The event was overpoured with mixed discourse from the public. Some viewed it as a remarkable feat in terms of women’s empowerment, while some regarded as a publicity stunt and the waste of resources that could have been utilized for other pressing issues.
