7 red hot Liverpool goals shames Manchester United

Sports Desk: Liverpool has been making a spectacular comeback in the Premier League and finding itself back in the groove. On Sunday, the 2020 champions, thrashed Manchester United 7-0 giving their worst ever defeat to the traditional rivals.

The first goal came through Netherlands’ Cody Gakpo late at the first half. This was followed by six another goals in the second half, with Gakpo footing another one, along with Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah scoring two each. Brazilian midfielder Roberto Firmino joined the party at the 88th minute adding more salt to United’s humiliation, who were recently crowned League Cup champions.

Reacting to this spectacular show by his team, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said that it was a superb performance by the team and it made him feel like it was a match from a different season.

Meanwhile, United coach Erik ten Hag said that the team had led their heads down with this embarrassing defeat.

With this victory and after being consistent during the last five matches, with only one draw, Liverpool’s mission to finish within the top four and play at the Champions League next year seems possible now.
