India: Nitish Kumar has sworn in as the Chief Minister of the state of Bihar for the sixth time on Wednesday.

Nitish Kumar and his party Janata Dal United (JDU) formed the new state government in alliance with the former opponent and Lalu Prasad’s Rashtriya Jana Dal (RJD) and other parties of the Mahagagathbandhan alliance like Congress and the Left.

Lalu Prasad’s son Tejashwi Yadav who is leading the RJD party also took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of the state.

On Tuesday, Nitish Kumar had announced in a press conference about his break-up with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and resignation as the Chief Minster as a result of dissatisfaction over working with the BJP.
