Global Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his Europe tour by meeting President Emmanuel Macron after visiting France on Thursday.
By thanking the French government for the warm hospitality, the Prime Minister said that although his visit to Paris was very brief, it was ‘fruitful’.
“My visit to France was brief but a very fruitful one. President @EmmanuelMacron and I got the opportunity to discuss various subjects. I thank him and the French Government for the warm hospitality,” he said.
Modi also said that he was happy to meet President Macron and both the leaders discussed about various global and bilateral issues during their meeting.
“Delighted, as always, to meet my friend President @EmmanuelMacron. We talked at length about bilateral as well as global issues. India and France are proud developmental partners with our partnership spread across different sectors,” he added.
With this Modi brought down the curtain to his Europe tour, during which he visited Germany, Denmark and France and met its leaders and the Indian community present in these countries.
Besides, he also took the opportunity to meet the Prime Ministers of Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Finland during the visit.
This Europe was tour of key strategic importance for India in terms of strengthening its relationship with Europe in trade, economy, technology, climate change, people to people relations, and so on.
