National Desk: Ursula von der Leyen, the President of European Union (EU) Commission has said that India is the powerhouse of technology.
Leyen said this during her meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday (25th April, 2022) on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of India-EU relationship.
During the meeting, both the leaders engaged in bilateral discussion on range of issues like the India-EU strategic partnership on trade, climate crisis, science and technology, people-to-people relationship, and so forth.
Leyen stated that India-EU has many things in common and its relationship has become more significant than before.
Additionally, she also lauded India and Prime Minister Modi’s initiative of introducing EU-India Trade and Technology Council which is a second such step taken after the United States of America.
During her visit to India, the EUC President also met President Ram Nath Kovind and visited the Raj Ghat to pay her tributes to Mahatma Gandhi.
