Global Desk, 25 March, 2022: US President Joe Biden has stated the NATO would respond in retaliation if the Russian forces led by President Vendramin Putin uses chemical weapons against Ukrainian civilians.
Biden stated this after the end of the NATO and G7 meetings held in Brussels.
He also said that NATO would respond, and the type of response would depend on the nature of aggression from Russia and Putin.
During his speech at the NATO meeting, the US President also said that NATO has never been as much united as it is today.
Further, he also appreciated its General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg, and said that he has done a remarkable job in strengthening this alliance during this crucial time when the world’s peace is being threatened by unprovoked aggression by Russia.
Additionally, he also said that the United States will provide refuge to Ukrainian civilians. He added that the US is ready to welcome up to 100,000 refugees leaving their country due to Russia’s catastrophic actions.
