Sports Desk, 21 March, 2022: Tennis legend Roger Federer has announced that he will be providing assistance and help to the children of war-ravaged Ukraine.
On Friday, he took to the social media and stated that he would be doing this through his social foundation named Roger Federer Foundation.
Reacting to the catastrophic and anti-human crisis in Ukraine, the 20-time grand slam winner said that he and his family are horrified after the seeing the pictures of Ukraine, where innocent people and especially children have been awfully affected.
Concerning this, Federer announced that he would come forward and provide help and assistance to the children of Ukraine who are going through a terrible experience due to the war.
The former world number one added that around six million children in Ukraine are deprived of school and education due to this. As a result, he will be donating USD 500,000 to help children have access to continued schooling and education in the country.
Following this, his fans and well-wishers across the world has welcomed his generous gesture.
