N Biren Singh sworn-in as CM of Manipur, promises to free Manipur from corruption, drugs, violence

Regional Desk, 21 March, 2022: On Monday, N Biren Singh too the swearing-in as the Chief Minister of the North-eastern state of India Manipur.

Singh, who belongs to the Bharatya Janata Party (BJP) took the oath as the Chief Minister of Manipur for the second consecutive term in the state capital Imphal.

Earlier, he was elected as the leader of the Manipur BJP’s legislature party after winning the majority in the recently concluded state elections.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, Singh stated that the new government would strive to satisfy the hopes and aspirations of the people of Manipur, by making the state free of corruption, drugs and violence.

In view of the occasion, many leaders from the political field offered their good wishes to Singh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated him and said he is confident that Singh would continue the good work done in the last five years and help Manipur reach newer heights in the next five years.
