Sports Desk, 18 March, 2022: Novak Djokovic is likely to make a comeback in the tennis court again. Former world number one is set to compete for the forthcoming French Open title.
The director of French Open tournament Amelie Mauresmo – who also former French tennis star and two-time grand slam winner – announced that Djokovic has been given clearance to participate in the tournament.
Djokovic, who was disallowed from playing in the Australian Open and deported from Australia due to his Covid vaccination status has missed a number of tournaments since then.
Moreover, he also lost his number one status in the ATP rankings.
In response to this news, tennis fans have given mixed reaction in social media. While some people said that it is a great news, some believe that it is unfair, as his vaccination status is still not clear.
Alternatively, some people are also of the view that Djokovic has no chance even if he participates in the tournament, as in form Rafael Nadal will be the ultimate winner.
