National Desk: Ahead of the seventh and final phrase of the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, on Friday, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi was seen relishing a special Banarasi paan along with kulhad tea in his constituency Varanasi.
After the completion of an exhausting road show for his party, the prime minister stopped by at a pan shop and asked for a famous Banarasi paan to the shopkeeper present there.
Apart from relishing the paan, he also enquired about the health and wellbeing of the shopkeeper and extended his blessings and good wishes to the gentleman.
Besides this, in order to soothe his thirst and tiredness after completing a massive road show in the constituency along with a puja at Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Prime Minister Modi also visited a tea stall and ordered a cup of special Banarasi tea.
As he sipped his tea, his supports and the crowd present at the spot cheered for him and also chanted slogans like “Jai Shree Ram” and “Har Har Mahadev”.
As a result, the prime minister reportedly sipped three back-to-back cups of kulhad tea, and also expressed his gratitude by waving back at the crowd.
