Global Desk: On Friday, the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant in Ukraine was ablaze with fire following the attack by the Russian army.

However, according to recent reports, the fire was soon brought under control by the emergency department and the Ukrainian troops.

The radiation levels from the plant have been said to be within normal.

The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which is situated in Ukraine’s Enerhodar is the largest nuclear power plant in the whole of Europe.

President Zelenskyy, including other NATO country leaders have condemned the attack and called it reprehensible.

Denouncing the attack through a video message, Zelenskyy stated that no one ever has attacked a nuclear power plant other than Russia.

Zelenskyy also called Russia a ‘terrorist state’ that has restored to nuclear terror now.

Similarly, the Prime Minister of United Kingdom Boris Johnson has marked this attack as reckless and said that it could have directly threatened the safety of entire Europe.

Latest reports say that the Russian troops have taken control over the nuclear plant now by besieging the area, with no Ukrainian troops being allowed to go inside the premises.
