Western disunity over Ukraine could be dangerous for Taiwan, says Boris Johnson

Global Desk, 20 February, 2022: Amidst the Ukraine-Russia conflict, the Prime Minister of United Kingdom (UK) Boris Johnson has urged the western countries to remain united in support of Ukraine.

Johnson stated on Saturday that if the west is divided and Ukraine is invaded by Russian aggression, than it might lead to adverse consequences globally.

He said that if the west fails to save Ukraine than it could send a wrong message to people that aggression is right and it works.

Further, he also gave an example of Taiwan and said that Russia’s aggression could lead to a snowball effect in other parts of the world including East Asia.

He said that this could motivate China to do the same to Taiwan in order to seize power in the island nation.
