PM Modi greets Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram on their statehood day

Regional Desk, 20 February 2022: On the occasion of the statehood day of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram, on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his good wishes to the people of the north-eastern states through an online video conference.

Regarding Arunachal Pradesh, the prime minister said that the current government has done exceptional work for the progress of the state. He also said that the government is aiming to make Arunachal an important gateway in the Eastern Asia region through modern infrastructure and developmental works in relation to power and connectivity.

Similarly, Modi offered his greetings to the people of Mizoram. He said that the nation is proud of the vibrant culture and contribution of Mizoram in national development.

Both Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh are two states belonging to the seven sisters in north-east India. Earlier, they were parts of Assam, before they officially became individual states in 1987.
