Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma says women needs education not hajib

New Delhi: The Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma has slammed the Congress party over the hajib controversy in Karnataka.

While interacting with a news agency during an election campaign rally in Uttarakhand, Sarma alleged the Congress of trying to generate division in the country by further stoking up the hajib row in Karnataka.

He said that Jinnah’s soul has entered the party as they are trying to polarize the country through their divisive politics.

Further, Sarma also said that it is not hajib, but women belonging to the Muslim community needs education.

Besides, he added that the hajib row in the schools in Karnataka has nothing to do with education, but it is totally religious.
