The Batman pulls out of Russia, as violence escalates in Ukraine

Entertainment Desk: Following the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, there will be no Batman in Russia.

In light of the actions taken by Russia on Ukraine, leading film production house Warner Bros has decided not to release its upcoming movie “The Batman” in Russia.

“The Batman” movie which is one of the most anticipated film of this year, revolves around the underworld scene and crime in the fictional Gotham City. It is scheduled for a worldwide release on 4th of March 2022. However, in view of the present crisis in Ukraine, sources from the production banner have stated that they have decided to halt its release in Russia for now.

Warner Bros’ decision stood in line with other leading production houses taking similar decisions in regard to the present crisis in Ukraine. Previously, the Walt Disney Co had ceased the release of its forthcoming Pixar film named “Turning Red”.

The Motion Picture Association too had stated on Monday that it stands with the international community in support of Ukraine and condemn Russia’s actions to invade the free nation.

The global community has inflicted tough financial sanctions on Russia ever since the Putin regime waged war on Ukraine.
