Global Desk: Donald trump has been finally honoured for his peace initiatives. He has been presented with the “FIFA Peace Prize – Football Unites the World” by the footballing community in the side-lines of the World Cup 2026 draw held in Washington.
The US President has been felicitated with this award for his exemplary work to restore peace across several parts of the world.
The award was presented by the FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who during the occasion praised Trump for his endeavours to make the world prosper. Through his Instagram handle @gianni_infantino, Infantino said that football stands for peace, unity, and togetherness, and President Trump has been recognized for his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world.
This is the first such award by the footballing governing body to any individual. Based on the FIFA website, this peace prize is likely to be awarded on annual basis.
