Global Desk/India: India has removed all Pakistan based artistic productions from all media platforms. India is doing this in the wake of the ongoing conflict between two nations after the Kashmir terror attack and the following retaliatory strike by India in the terror bases in Pakistan.
According to MyGovIndia the ministry of Information and Broadcasting has asked all the streaming and entertainment platforms to take down all films, songs, shows, and web series from Pakistan.
Following the directive many Pakistani news channels were unavailable in YouTube in India. Several social media portals, influencer accounts from Pakistan have also been removed.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has taken the same step by blocking around 16 YouTube news channels, reports a noted Pakistani social media portal on Facebook.
This is not just limited to the television or the online industry, as several cultural shows including major sporting events are being cancelled or postponed across India. Flights and airports have been shut in multiple cities in north India.
This wave of bans is likely to stay for some time now until tensions ease between the two nations.
