Business Desk: Staying connected with seamless internet during air travel is becoming possible now. airBaltic has become the first European airline brand to offer high-speed internet connectivity experience to its customers, ensuring that they do not stay offline or miss their favourite show on Netflix or a football match during long distance flights.
AirBaltic has done so through the help of SpaceX’s Starlink internet service and has become the first European airline in the history to offer high-speed internet connectivity onboard.
In series of social media posts, airBaltic stated that its onboard ultra-fast internet powered by SpaceX is unmatched and unlimited, that would offer customers a new era of in-flight freedom, and enable them to stream, browse, and connect like never before.
By posting an onboard selfie video from the first flight with Starlink internet connectivity which was flying 40,000 feet above, its CEO Martin Gauss shared his excitement and said that it was a historic moment, and the passengers were super excited and super happy to experience Starlink internet service onboard.
In this era of constant connectivity, lack of internet services often makes long duration air travel tedious and boring. If high-speed internet services can be made possible in every flight, then it will usher a new revolution in the air travel industry. Just imagine attending an important zoom meeting from a flight – this could be a reality soon.
