Has obesity crisis hit Britain?
Lifestyle Desk: The former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has expressed his concerns about the growing crisis of obesity in England.
By blaming the Church of England for this and said that it is the result of the church’s failure in providing people ‘spiritual sustenance,’ reports The Times.
He also rebuked several religious leaders for their failure in addressing the spiritual requirements of people.
Further, he also stated that when he had been young it was very rare to be overweight, however it was a common thing now in England.
By mentioning about the Covid pandemic, Johnson also revealed that Britain was badly hit by the pandemic particularly because of the high prevalence of obesity among its population.
