India: India is famous for its street foods, and Pani Puri is always considered to be one of the favourite street dishes in India. In fact, this crispy, watery, and spicy dish is not just enjoyed by Indians, but even foreigners like to relish it.
Like many of us, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi is also a fan of Pani Puri and recently, he was seen savouring it in New Delhi. He was not alone but he enjoyed this with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida who was on a bilateral trip to India.
In between the meeting of both the leaders where they discussed about various issues ranging from trade, technology, defence, and more; Modi accompanied Kishida for a snacks break and enjoyed Pani Puris together. In a viral video on the social media, PM Kishida was seen standing along with Modi in front of a Pani Puri stall and galloping one Pani Puri after another.
In addition to Pani Puri, both of them also enjoyed different Indian street dishes. To share the occasion with his followers, Modi also posted pictures on social media, which has been viewed by over 2.2 million times on Twitter so far.
By commenting on the post one person wrote that “Panipuri is the most underrated food across the globe. Good that PM is bringing it to the global plate. I am sure the world will fall in love with Golgappas (pani puri) the way Indians do. We have many other delicacies Dahi Bhalla, Aloo Tikki and Papdi Chat.”
Likewise, another person said that “Golgappa (pani puri) and Samosa are India’s super snacks. Should go global”.
