Sports Desk: Australian women cricket team have won the ICC T20 World Cup by defeating hosts South Africa by 19 runs.
The final match was played in the Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town, South Africa.
After choosing to bat first the Aussies set a target of 156 runs by losing 6 wickets till the final ball. Opening batswoman Beth Mooney was the highest scorer of the Australian innings with her score of 74 in 53 balls.
By maintaining a slow run rate, South Africa could manage only 137 after the end of 20 overs.
With this Australia have won their sixth T20 world cup title and their third final win in a row.
