Global Desk: After nine months of brutal war against Ukraine, Russian army have reportedly lost around 50 per cent of its battle tanks.

According to report by the Guardian newspaper, this has been stated by a study by International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS) – which is an international research institute and a ‘leading authority on global security, political, risk and military conflict’.

Conversely, the report also says that Ukraine’s estimated number of tanks have increased after receiving military aids from its western allies.

In view of the report, the Chief Executive of IISS Dr John Chipman has stated that the war highlights the political and military mismanagement and a failure of its leadership in Russian defence.

Both the sides who have been fighting for about a year now have failed to reach any mutual agreement or negotiation. There seems to be no sign of the war ending anytime soon.
