Modi meets several world leaders at G20 summit
India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had one-to-one interaction with a number of global leaders on the side-lines of the just concluded G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia.
Apart from participating in the official roundtable meeting, the Prime Minister interacted with several leaders including the new Prime Minister of United Kingdom Rishi Sunak, France President Emmanuel Macron, Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholaz, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, among others.
Besides, he was also seen having informal interactions with US President Joe Biden and leaders from World Health Organization, International Monetary Fund, World Bank, and others.
In a tweet, Modi said that India had a productive two days in Bali as it could highlight its key positions on various issues of global importance along with ‘fruitful deliberations with world leaders.’
Additionally, India being the host of the next summit in 2023, Modi also assumed presidency on behalf of the country from Indonesia.
Regarding this he said that as a host India would aim to be ‘inclusive, ambitious, decisive, and action oriented.’
He also added that India “will work to realise all aspects of our vision of ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future.’”
Earlier, Modi had also met the Indian community living in Bali, Indonesia and addressed a gathering.
