Global Desk: There was an attempted murder on Imran Khan – former Prime Minister of Pakistan – during a massive political rally in Gujranwala, Pakistan on Thursday.
According to initial reports, a bullet hit Khan’s leg after which he was immediately taken to the nearby hospital in a bulletproof vehicle.
Reports also state that around four bullets were fired on him of which one hit his leg and apart from Khan three other leaders from his party was also injured.
The gunman has been arrested by the local police.
Meanwhile, Khan is being treated in hospital at present and reportedly he is out of danger.
The incident took place while he was leading an anti-government rally with his party leaders and supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Gujranwala town.
