Global Desk: Russian President Vladimir Putin gave some positive remarks about India while addressing at the Valadai International Discussion Club on Thursday, as reported by the Indian media.
In his speech, Putin lauded the independent foreign policy of India for the sake of its people by not genuflecting in front of external pressure.
Putin also said that India should not just be happy for being the largest democracy of the word, but it should also be proud of its growth rate and development over the years.
Putin also believes that India has a very great future and will play a important role in foreign policy decisions.
He also said that Russia has a special relationship with India, which is a country that attracts respect from everyone in the world.
Additionally, Putin also admired Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for his developmental initiatives and said that he is a true patriot of the country.
Putin’s comments came months after India’s anti-war stance during an international summit in September where it maintained a neutral position regarding the Ukrainian war and stated that it is not the era of war.
