India: By congratulating Tesla CEO Elon Musk on becoming the new owner of the multi blogging site Twitter, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday hoped that Twitter will be an inclusive platform and respect opinions of every side.
He also wished that Twitter will be free from any government pressure and act against social media hate speech and fake news over the medium.
“Congrats @elonmusk. I hope @Twitter will now act against hate speech, fact check more robustly, and will no longer stifle the opposition’s voice in India due to government pressure,” he wrote on Twitter.
In addition to his comments, Rahul Gandhi also shared a statistical image where he demonstrated how his Twitter account was manipulated by supressing new followers from August 2021 to February 2022 after growing consistently since January 2021.
Additionally, in the image he also wrote that he made 20 appeals to the multi blogging platform regarding this which Twitter unfortunately denied to entertain.
