Boris Johnson returns to UK in economy class flight, likely to re-run for the Prime Ministerial post

Global Desk: On Saturday, former prime Minister Boris Johnson returned back to the United Kingdom from a holiday in the Caribbean islands soon after the leadership race rebegins in the United Kingdom after Liz Truss submitted her resignation from the top post.

According to the British media, Boris Johnson was seen boarding an economy class fight during his journey back to the UK.

It has also been reported that Johnson is likely to throw his hat into the ring for the conservative leadership and reclaim his lost position as the Prime Minister of UK.

However, he is yet to officially announce about his candidature to replace Truss. On the downside, he also requires proving the support of at least 100 members of the parliament in order to nominate himself for the polls next week.

Johnson was forced to oust from his office amidst the cost of living in the UK and the party gate scandal during the Covid pandemic, due to which many of his cabinet members submitted their resignations, leading to the collapse of the government.

If Johnson decides to run for the post again, his closest rival could be his former finance minister Rishi Sunak who is also likely to fight the 10 Downing Street polls again.
