Guwahati: A book on Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, on the completion of his one eventful year as the Chief Minister of Assam is released by Dr Ronoj Pegu, the Education Minister of Assam, at Janata Bhavan in a conference room. The book release function was chaired by Dr Dayananda Pathak, noted writer and educationist. Minister Pijus Hazarika, Dr Nanigopal Mahanta, adviser of the Education department. Guwahati Mayor, and Dr Jayanta Bswa sarma, the elder brother of Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, a noted Physician of United Kingdom and many other dignitaries attended the book release function.
Dr Ronoj Pegu, the education Minister of Assam, in his speech narrated the positive qualities of Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma. He said, Dr Sarma is against all of our usual procastinative tendencies in work culture. Dr Sarma, he said, wants to do everything at the right moment. That has brought in many changes in the administration of the state in the positive direction.
Minister Pizus Hazarika also highlighted the positive working culture of the Chief Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma. Dr Nanigopal Mahanta. Adviser to the education department of the Government of Assam, also highlighted some of the positive qualities of Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Dr Dayananda Pathak, chairing he book release function, said about the positive and inspiring working culture of Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma by citing some of his exemplary works as the Chief Minister of Assam.
The book, beautifully edited by Prakash Bora and Pranati Bora, is a collection of articles published in the two weeklies – Assam Prabah and Assam Jyoti on the occasion of Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma`s completion of one year as the Chief Minister of Assam. Selected articles and opinions of many noted personalities are published in the collection. In the meeting it was also proposed that every year a book of this kind will also be brought in by the two noted weeklies. The proposal was greeted by the audience.
