Business Desk: IT giant Microsoft is set to reduce its operations in Russia owing to the ongoing war in Ukraine which has crossed over 100 days now.
This was announced by the company on Wednesday through an official statement where it mentioned that it is about to discontinue sales and services of new products in Russia.
It further added that it will however continue to provide post purchase services to the already existing customers of its products.
According to a report from the Bloomberg, this latest decision will affect over 400 employees working for the company. Although, regarding this, the company stated that it is working closely with the discontent employees to make sure that they are treated with respect and provided with full support during this difficult time.
With this, Microsoft has joined the league of leading global companies to have disconnected its operations in the country as a result of its invasion and war crimes in Ukraine.
