Unconditional Self-love: Indian woman set to marry herself, also plans a solo honeymoon to Goa

Lifestyle Desk: Kshama Bindu, a 24-year-old woman from India is setting a new example of unconditional self-love.

Bindu, who hails from Vadodara, Gujarat, is all set for her marriage and looks forward to this very special day in her life like any other woman.

Like most traditional Indian marriages, there will be traditional rituals like ‘saat phere’ (wedding vows), sindoor and others. However, the only thing that will be missing form her much anticipated day would be a partner.

It might seem little eccentric, but Kshama Bindu is preparing to marry herself without a groom.

On top of it, she is also likely to go for a two-week solo honeymoon trip to Goa after the marriage.

According to a recent report from the Times of India, Bindu states that her decision of self-marriage is a demonstration of self-love.

She also asserted that she never wanted to get married in life, however she did wish to be a bride one day.

Besides, she also said that this would be the first instance of sologamy in the country when someone would be marrying oneself.

By justifying her move as an act of self-acceptance, Bindu said that people marry someone they adore, and she loves herself and as a result she is set to wed herself too.

Additionally, she also stated that her parents have been very supportive and accepted her decision of self-marriage.

Bindu, who reportedly works in a private organization, will be marrying at a temple on June 11.
