Sports Desk: Manchester City are the new champions of the Premier League football championship.
Manchester City defeated Aston Villa on the final day of the 2021-22 season at the Villa Park Stadium in Birmingham, England.
City were trailing in the first half after Matty Cash scored for Villa in the 37th minute.
Villa made things more difficult for City with another goal during the 69th minute from Phillippe Coutinho.
However, City made a sensational comeback after three successive goals within a short interval by Gundogan and Rodri in the 76th, 78th and 81th minutes.
With this, Pep Guardiola managed side have won the Premier League for the second consecutive time after winning the 2020-21 season earlier.
Liverpool on the other hand, finished second despite beating Wolves 3-2 at the Anfield Stadium.
Alternatively, Burnley became the third team to get relegated after conceding defeat to the Newcastle United.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur have qualified for the the UEFA Champions League for the next season after they outplayed Norwich City on Sunday and ended fourth in the final league table.
