PM Modi begins his Europe tour in Berlin, meets German Chancellor Olaf Scholz

Global Desk: The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi begin his three-nation tour of Europe by landing in Berlin on Monday.

Upon reaching the German capital, Modi was greeted with a ceremonial welcome by the German chancellor Olaf Scholz.

After this, both the leaders engaged in a bilateral interaction and discussed issues in connection with trade, commerce, culture, innovation, and people-to-people relation between both the countries.

The Prime Minister in a Tweet stated that India and Germany are working in partnership on multiple subjects which will benefit the ‘entire planet’.

In addition to this one-to-one interaction, Modi and Scholz also attended the 6th India-Germany Inter-Governmental Consultation along with other ministers and government officials from both the countries.

Among others, the meeting focused on issues related to improving collaboration in the fields of economic development, sustainability, and mobility.

This was stated by the Prime Minister through his official social media channels.

Moreover, Modi also met the people from the Indian community in Germany and said that the nation is proud of their achievements.

The Prime Minister is also being accompanied by the Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in this tour.

Apart from Germany he will also be visiting Denmark and France as part of this Europe tour.
