Regional Desk: The Health Minister of Assam Keshab Mahanta stated on Sunday that the government might introduce new COVID standard operating procedure (SOP) if necessary.
He also said that the COVID condition in the state is under control and a new SOP will only be brought if there is an upsurge in cases.
Additionally, the health minister also stated that the government is prepared to tackle another wave with the required facilities in the state.
Currently, Assam is doing better than some other states in India which are seeing the reappearance of cases.
As per a recent tweet by Mahanta on Sunday, there were zero cases in the last 24 hours with a recovery rate of 98.90 per cent.
