Amazon suffers its first loss in seven years
Business Desk: Leading e-commerce giant Amazon has suffered its biggest loss in the last seven years.
It has faced a loss of USD 3.8 billion and its shares have gone down by 10 per cent as a result.
This was informed by the officials of the company on Friday.
According to reports, the reduction in online sales since the Covid pandemic led to this loss.
The chief executive of Amazon Andy Jassy stated that “the pandemic and subsequent war in Ukraine have brought unusual growth and challenges.”
Besides, the company also informed that its electronic vehicle brand Rivan has a huge role in this unprecedented loss.
