Regional Desk: The Assam Trinamool Congress (ATMC) held a party joining event in Guwahati on Wednesday under the presence of TMC leader and member of parliament from West Bengal Mahua Moitra.
In addition to Moitra, the newly appointed party chief and former Congress leader Ripun Bora, along with MP Sushmita Dev and former chief minister of Meghalaya Mukul Sangma were also present on the occasion.
In their presence several members from different political parties officially joined the Assam Trinamool Congress.
By welcoming the new members, Ripun Bora in his address said that Assam Trinamool Congress will not partner with either Congress of AIUDF in the state.
Likewise, Mahua Moitra attacked the ruling party and said that they were more interested in communism than solving the real issues of the people like unemployment and poverty.
