National Desk: On Sunday, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi extended his good wishes to the people on the occasion of Easter.
The Prime Minster wished on the occasion through his official social media accounts.
“Happy Easter! We recall the thoughts and ideals of Jesus Christ and the emphasis on social justice as well as compassion. May the spirit of joy and brotherhood be furthered in our society,” he said.
Easter, which is often called as the day of resurrection of Jesus Christ is one of the major festivals along with Christmas for the Christian community.
Public holidays are declared in many parts of the world on this significant occasion.
People celebrate the day with feasts, processions, music, visits to churches, donations, and more.
Egg dishes are highly popular in Easter, which is also symbolically related to the occasion as the sign of live and rebirth.
