National Desk, 27 March, 2022: On Sunday, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi highlighted the importance of water conservation and recycling in India.
He stated this during his Mann Ki Baat radio programme on Sunday.
By encouraging the people to save every drop of water, the prime minister said that during the last few years water conservation in India has turned into a mass movement.
He also lauded the efforts of the people and organizations working towards water conservation and said that the nation has taken multiple steps like its Jal Jivan Mission in the recent past in order to conserve water and provide clean drinking water to every citizen.
Modi said this in his 87th edition of the Mann Ki Baat radio talk show, which was aired in the channels of the All India Radio and private radio and television channels.
Immediately after the end of the programme, his conversation was translated in different Indian languages and the transcripts of the same were posted online.
Earlier, the prime minister had sought suggestions and ideas from the listeners as to what topics he can include in this exclusive radio programme.
