Global Desk. 23 March, 2022: Former English football superstar and UNICEF’s goodwill ambassador David Beckham handed over the control of his Instagram account to a doctor named Iyrn, who is the head of a perinatal hospital situated in the war torn Ukraine’s Kharkiv.
This was recently informed by the UNICEF and Beckham himself through their social media accounts.
Beckham, who has over 71.5 million followers in Instagram and 56 million in Facebook, did this so that Iyrn can use his account to reach more people and show the world the heroic works and challenges faced by the healthcare workers in carrying out their duties in the midst of a war.
Upon getting his Instagram account, Iyrn shared a sequence of pictures and videos and showed the environment within the hospital and how it was like working with pregnant women in the centre of a horrific war.
In one of the videos, Iyrn stated that she was working 24/7 to help the people.
She also said that even though they were risking their lives, they loved their work.
Iyrn also added that the doctors and nurses in Ukraine do worry and cry sometimes, however, none of them will give up.
Concerning this, the former England captain shared a statement on his Instagram and asked his followers to donate to charities to support and help the people of Ukraine.
