Festival of colours celebrated across India

National Desk, 18 March, 2022: The festival of colours Holi is being observed across the length and breadth of India with much fanfare.

Celebrities from different fields took on the social media to extend their good wishes to the nation.

Offering his greetings to the people of India, President Ram Nath Kovind said that the festival of colours is a living example of communal harmony.

Similarly, PM Modi also extended his wishes and said Holi is an occasion of love and brotherhood.

Alternatively, a number of international leaders also offered their greetings on this special occasion. The Home Secretary of United Kingdom and Indian origin Priti Patel took on to social media and said that Holi signifies the victory over evil and the arrival of spring with all its bright colours.

Many celebrities from the film industry and sports field also extended their wishes by sharing pictures of Holi celebrations.

Holi, which is also known as the festival of colours or festival of spring is one of the most popular Hindu festivals. It is celebrated to mark the arrival of the spring season. It also symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. People put colours on each other and prepare traditional sweets and snacks at home.
